Westlake Omics celebrated its 1st Year Anniversary- “Dreams Propel Us Forward” on July 8, 2021 at a quaint resort. With memories of the past year and expectations for the new one, we gathered for exchanges in academics and ideas.
A Year of Progress
In 2020, Westlake Omics joined the community of national prospective multi-center of thyroid nodules diagnosis and treatment clinical studies. We were granted with 3 national patents and 6 software copyrights, and dozens of science-oriented services and cooperation. We established the proteomics database, contributed to 9 papers and signed the strategic MoUs with Sciex, Thermo-Fisher and Brucker.
During the past year, Westlake Omics received 3046 CVs and organized 547 interviews. 69 employees have been recruited, showing a great momentum of growth. The company is on the fast track, and fully supports the career path of every employee. 7 knowledge-sharing sessions and 11 internal training workshops have been organized. The company provides annual physical examination, afternoon tea and free taxi rides for all employees, aimed at providing a better working environment for all.
On March 22, 2021, Hangzhou Omics Medical Laboratory was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Westlake Omics. The laboratory covers an area of 1,150 square meters, including a GMP laboratory of 610 square meters, which is expected to be completed on July 15.
On May 2, 2021, Westlake Omics completed the setup of its Shanghai office from scratch in just one month. The Shanghai office will facilitate the headquarters to communicate better with the world.
Collaborate to Boost the Development
Each employee is responsible for their respective tasks, and we all need to cooperate frequently. Only sincere cooperation can enrich each other's mind and challenge ourselves. Therefore, a presentation show of each division was arranged to deepen the understanding and smoothen the work down the road.
We are growing rapidly with new members coming every day. The daily work is not enough for everybody to get familiar with each other, so we mingled the staff of different divisions and played the icebreaker, a climax of the celebration.
